For over 50 years, Lewis Mittman has been manufacturing for the professional interior designer. While luxury for us is about indulgence and comfort, our designs also reflect a livability and practicality; a reprieve, necessary for modern lives lived at a rapid pace. We do not, however, sacrifice the individual in the attainment of practical luxury. In fact, we specialize in the individual. Our designs span from traditional to modern, with unlimited options and the ability to customize many products.

Most of our upholstery and cabinet making techniques have been handed down through generations to our own employees. Indeed, a number of them are second generation upholsterers, cabinetmakers, and finishers whose own parents learned their skills here at Lewis Mittman, and have, according to custom, passed their knowledge onto their sons and daughters.

The concept of using authentic techniques and uncompromising standards was conceived of and implemented by our founder, Lewis Mittman. His involvement in every facet of manufacturing during the first 35 years of the company set a sound basis and philosophy, insuring the years to come would perpetuate his exacting standards.

Over the last 25 years his son and successor, Steven Mittman, has made certain that the design intent continues to reflect the best of the past three centuries, while at the same time looking towards the future.
